You’ve completed writing your book. Wonderful!

You’re feeling pretty good about it, but maybe you’re not quite as confident as you’d like to be. You keep thinking of this and that…little points that seem less than ideal to you.

Before your book goes into the hands of an agent, or a publisher or — most importantly — your readers, you want it to be the best it can be, just as you first envisioned it.

You could use another’s objective viewpoint, a fresh set of experienced eyes on it.

I can help. I’m a book doctor.

I’ll read through your entire manuscript, carefully, and give you a six to eight page overview that specifies your book’s strengths as well as notes on any aspects of your work which might still need some attention.

For fiction I’ll focus on character, plot, suspense, pace, narrative arc, theme, syntax and grammar, if necessary. For nonfiction I’ll cover structure, content, organization, clarity of concept, voice, diction, syntax and grammar. If you have a specific concern, I’ll address that too.

After you’ve received and read my overview, we’ll schedule a phone call so I can answer any other questions you might have.

For a fifty to sixty thousand word manuscript, I charge $500.00. For longer works, the fee increases proportionately. Turnaround time is ten days.
